Role-playing Research and Observation Group

GORR was born out of a desire to unite and diversify.

 To unite by bringing together researchers, teachers and students around a shared passion and curiosity for tabletop role-playing games. To unite by trying to accompany and support initiatives around TTRPG and its study. To unite by relaying the voices that speak about TTRPG.

 

To diversify by giving visibility to lesser-known, more experimental, more independent games. To diversify by opening up new fields of thought and seeking new angles of approach to TTRPG. To diversify by offering a space for reflection, discussion and dissemination for all theorists and players wishing to examine TTRPG.

 

GORR is ultimately the university extension of the TTRPG practice: getting together around a table (even a virtual one), sharing imaginary worlds and exchanging ideas.
