Initiative - Role Playing Games Discussion Group
Founded by Dann Godin in 2015, the group aims to bring together amateurs, practitioners and researchers, in order to exchange and popularize knowledge about tabletop role-playing games.
Initiative was founded by Danny Godin in 2015. The idea was and still is to create a forum bringing together amateurs, practitioners and researchers, in order to exchange and popularize knowledge about tabletop role-playing games.
Initiative's format evolves from year to year. Initially, it was a question of two speakers paired monthly according to different themes. In 2016-17, Initiative is trying a "panel" type format, this time led by 4 regular presenters: Christopher Chancey (ManaVoid Entertainment), Stéphane Daniau (UQAM), Sébastien Savard (UdeM) and of course Danny Godin (UQAT).
For 2018, Initiative is taking a bolder step by setting up the first multidisciplinary study day on tabletop role-playing games, bringing together specialists from 8 different universities in Quebec.
This page is a place to discuss tabletop roleplaying in both a light and rigorous way. The entire French-speaking world is welcome, provided that respect for ideas and people is maintained at all times. We will not tolerate any element likely to generate toxicity (see the rules).
